Samhwa introduces all-natural lime paints that are also nonflammable

Designed to produce marble-like texture and luster for high-end interior designs,
Samhwa’s lime paints pass the MOLIT’s inflammability and toxic gas tests.

The lime-based paints Samhwa introduced earlier this year passed the Korea Testing & Research Institute (KTR)’s inflammability testing and obtained the nonflammable certificate as a result.

The institute tested two of Samhwa’s lime paints (Lime R and Lasato) and found that both products satisfy the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT)’s criteria for non-flammability and freedom from toxic gases.

Having ensured the fire safety of its lime paints, Samhwa is ready to target the high-end interior market with them as replacements for wallpaper and sheets. Lime paints can produce a variety of textures, colors, and effects depending on the types of tools and skills used, and therefore offer much greater freedom than fixed-pattern wallpaper.

Samhwa is the official Korean importer and distributor of lime paints from Ard Raccanello, an Italian company that produces premium-quality paints. Ard’s paints are of proven quality and reputation, as they have been used in famous works of architecture like the Duomo di Milano.

Lime paints can create a unique ambience with beautiful marble effects. They can be easily applied to broad surfaces and corners alike, helping developers and property owners cut down on costs for expensive natural marble.

A Samhwa spokesperson said: “Lime paints can easily replace wallpaper and sheets that are still dominant in Korean interior styles. These beautiful paints, which have now been tested and proven to be fire-safe, should make headway into the Korean high-end interior market.”
